Privacy policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy explains what information Raincrest Studio (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, how it is used and stored, and your choices. The website is operated by Rehan Takher, based in Everett, Washington.
What we collect
- Information you send us. The website request form asks for your name, email address, optional phone number, preferred contact method, business details, and your answers about the website you want. The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional subject and your message. The client review form asks for your name, email address, optional business name, project and rating, your review, how you’d like your name shown, and your permission to publish it.
- Technical information when you visit. Like any website, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes this to deliver and protect the site and keeps its own records under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Our own website code uses your IP address only briefly, in memory, to limit repeated form submissions. Our code doesn’t save it with your message or write it to our application logs.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote if you ask for one, communicate about a project, and protect the site from spam and abuse. If you submit a review, we read it before deciding whether to publish it. A review is published only with your permission, showing your name in the way you chose, and never your email address. We may shorten it or correct spelling, and we’ll check with you before making any other change. We don’t sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to a marketing list. We may disclose information if required by law.
Where it is stored
- Hosting and storage: the website runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States). Form submissions are stored in a database in our Cloudflare account.
- Email: each submission is also emailed to our business inbox through Cloudflare’s email service, and messages sent to our email address are forwarded to the same inbox by Cloudflare Email Routing. That inbox is hosted by Microsoft (Outlook.com).
How long we keep it
- Website database: form submissions are deleted automatically once they are 24 months old. Deleted entries can remain in the database’s automatic backups for up to 7 more days.
- Email copies: copies emailed to our inbox are removed in a quarterly review once they are older than 24 months, so they are kept for no more than 27 months. After deletion they can remain in our email provider’s deleted-items storage for up to 60 days.
- Published reviews: an approved review stays on the website until you ask us to remove it or we take it down. The original submission follows the same deletion schedule as other form submissions.
- If we work together, project records are kept for as long as needed for the project and for business, tax and legal record-keeping.
- Logs: our website’s application logs record reference numbers and errors, not the contents of your messages, and are kept for up to 3 days. Cloudflare’s own processing of technical data is covered by its privacy policy.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and the website itself doesn’t set cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie, for example if it needs to check that a visitor isn’t automated.
While you fill in the website request form, your answers are saved in your own browser (local storage) so you don’t lose your progress. They stay on your device unless you submit the form. The draft is cleared when you submit or click “Start over”, is discarded if you return after more than 30 days, and can be removed at any time through your browser settings.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you’ve sent us, or to have a published review changed or removed, by emailing contact@raincreststudio.com. We respond within 30 days. We may keep some information where we’re required to by law (for example tax and accounting records for clients) or where it’s needed to resolve a dispute, and we’ll tell you what we keep and why.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), forms are protected against automated spam, and submissions are stored in an access-controlled account. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
